Henry Hagg Lake - February 15 & 22
On rainy February 15th Saturday morning members from the Oregon Bass & Panfish Club, Columbia River
Bass Masters, and the St. Helens Bassmasters, met at Boat Ramp A at Henry Hagg Lake to assemble 100 spider blocks. It was
a very successful day despite the downpour of rain.
Phase 2 of the spider block project took place on a beautiful sunny February 22nd Saturday morning. Volunteers
met at Henry Hagg Lake in the Boat Ramp A parking lot to launch their boats and load the cured spider blocks onto trailers.
The flat-bed trailers loaded with spider blocks were backed down the boat ramp to waiting boats that would place the spider
block fish habitats into the lake.
A special thanks to Gary Galovich from the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife for obtaining all of
the approvals from Washington County Parks and the Bureau of Reclamation, and for obtaining the supplies to build the spider
blocks.
